The
students of the primary section of Good Shepherd International School, Fernhill
undertook a drive titled “Each One Plant One" on the 8th of March, 2017,
in order to do their bit for the environment. "Each One Plant One" was a movement
initiated within the walls of this picturesque and eco- friendly campus. The
young minds inspired by the greenery around them, marched through the campus
with slogans of “Each One Plant One”. Speeches were made by students to create
awareness on saving trees to prevent further damages to the environment through
deforestation. This was followed by the planting of saplings of different types
of trees. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Deepa Suresh and the Director of Activities
Mr. James Milton initiated this movement followed by all the students in
campus. The students showed that
age did not matter in the fight against deforestation. These tiny voices blared
loud and clear that deforestation had to stop to make Earth a safe and
beautiful home for future generations.
The kids have inspired us to do our best to save trees. Wonderful initiative. Keep up the splendid work.
