Founders Day Celebrations- 2019
43rd Founder’s Day celebration was celebrated on 15
and 16 October 2019 at the Palada Campus.
Professor Maithree
Wickramasinghe, Chair
& Senior Professor of English; Founding Director; Centre for Gender
Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka was the chief guest of the function
on both days.
Students performed various cultural events including
musical presentations, symphony orchestra, dance and light & dark
presentations on 15 October 2019 during the evening programme at the
auditorium.
The morning programme on 16 October 2019 was held at the
Open Air Stadium which included Guard of Honour, March Past, Band Display and
formations, Display of mountaineering skills, Equestrian Display, Music and
Dance presentations. Special Awards and prizes were distributed.
The Inter House Championship ‘Cock- House Trophy’ was
awarded to the Summer House by the Chief Guest.
