Good morning.

Lord Chesterfield a British statesman quotes, know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Are you one of those people who never ever arrive on time? Do you find yourself running late for all your classes? Have teachers written you off as a perpetual time offender? If this is the case, then you need to put a stop to such behaviour immediately. Arriving late makes people derive negative opinions about you and can even have them doubt your sincerity.

The first step that you need to take, so as to improve your Punctuality, is to understand the value of time. Majority of the people today take time for granted and do not realize that it is a very precious commodity. So, before taking any other step, remind yourself the worth of time.

Apart from realizing the importance of time, you also need to learn how to manage it properly. One of the main reasons why people always end up turning late for their appointments is that they do not know how to utilize their time efficiently. Clubbing up too many things for the same time never works. Learn to list the works according to their importance and complete them accordingly. For instance, arranging the dorm cupboard is something that needs to be done at least half an hour before going for the class and not at the last minute.

Changing your priorities at the last minute often leads to you being late for an appointment. If you have to bathe and arrange your clothes before going out, then don't waste time watching a mindless TV show. This is something that can be postponed for later as well. Make sure you do the important things first and indulge in a leisure activity, only if you have some time to spare, after getting the main task done.

Punctuality is one of the seven virtues in man. Our dear Principal Dr. P.C Thomas is known for it. Our chief guest for the 35th founder’s day Dr. A.C. Muthiah mentioned “Precision timing which is comparable only to the SWISS is what we witnessed in Good Shepherd International School”. A punctual person is appreciated because he is aware that time is precious. "Time and tide wait for no man", how true it is! If a person is not punctual, it shows that either the person is unprofessional or that he has no value for the other person's time. This spreads to his reputation also. A punctual person is valued and respected. Remember, it is the difference of only a few seconds in catching a train or missing it! Therefore to catch the train of life always be on time.

William Shakespeare quotes “Better three hours too soon than a minute too late”.

Thank you and have a nice day.
